COVID-19: Malaysia hosts seamless event for 4,500 delegates

As Professor Dr. Markus Stucker, GSP President, says “the venue’s safety measures were no hindrance: just like we got used to wearing masks in the supermarket, it’s no problem to stick to the rules of hygiene during this congress.”

Malaysia passed another major milestone in the reopening of business events with a large-scale gathering of officials.

The Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) hosted the country’s first major business event during the COVID-19 Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) with stringent safety and security protocols in place.

The one-day event convened more than 4,500 people, including the Malaysian Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, senior ministers, dignitaries and participants from a non-governmental organisation.
