Between late summer and early fall 2021, nearly two-thirds of meeting planners had delayed, rescheduled, moved or cancelled an in-person meeting or event, according to Northstar Meetings Group’s October PULSE Survey. Have concerns about the Delta variant and Covid contagion subsided? How confident are you now about holding in-person meetings in the new year?
Many signs point to a continued recovery for events, and experts see solid reasons for optimism. There’s reason to worry, too: Contagion, protocols, costs, staffing — the list of obstacles doesn’t seem to be getting any shorter.
